Terms of service.

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our services and products. By booking with Light Up The Toon, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your hire.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid [e.g. 7 days] before your event.

  • Bookings are confirmed only once payment is received and you receive written confirmation.

  • Prices are as stated at the time of booking. Any changes may incur additional charges.

2. Cancellations & Changes

  • Cancellations made more than [e.g. 14 days] before the event will forfeit the deposit.

  • Cancellations within [e.g. 14 days] of the event may be subject to additional charges.

  • We will do our best to accommodate changes, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

3. Delivery, Setup & Collection

  • We deliver, set up, and collect all hire items at the agreed location and time.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure someone is present at the venue to receive and approve setup.

  • Our team requires clear access and adequate space for setup. Please notify us of stairs, narrow entrances, or other restrictions in advance.

  • Items must not be moved once set up unless agreed with our team.

4. Damage & Liability

  • All hired items remain the property of Light Up The Toon.

  • You are responsible for the items from delivery until collection. Any damage, loss, or misuse may result in additional charges.

  • We accept no responsibility for injury or damage caused by misuse of our products.

  • All electrical items are PAT tested and safe for use; however, they should not be left outdoors or exposed to water unless previously agreed.

5. Use of Photos

  • We may take photos of our setups for promotional purposes. If you would prefer we don’t use images from your event, please notify us in writing in advance.

6. Weather & Outdoor Use

  • Outdoor use of our products is only permitted if pre-approved and weather conditions are safe.

  • In the event of poor weather, we reserve the right to refuse setup outdoors for safety and equipment protection.

7. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, illness, or accidents.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with UK legal procedures.
